The Westin San Jose

Beautiful building situated across the street from San Jose convention center. Rooms are spacious and updated brain shower in bathroom. We got a room away from the street for quiet security at front door, very accommodating and polite staff. The amount that I paid was over $100 over what I was quoted including $100 deposit.

This hotel, centrally located in downtown San Jose, has all the amenities and facilities that a Westin has to offer. A beautiful historical antique style hotel, keeping with the original of its roots, formerly the Hotel Saint Claire, now placed in National Register Historic Place. Check in process was seamless, cordial service; all staff attentive and welcoming. The rooms, the reason of not a 5 star review, although well appointed and and in very good condition, are rather small, typical of a hotel built 100 years ago (1926). The king size bed occupies almost 50% of the room. Perfect for a solo traveler and for a night or two stay, but longer stay, or 2 in one room, and you will find no room for your belongings, a bit cramped. I used the desk for my luggage. The bathroom has no space for toiletries, though I loved the decor. And yes the bedding typical of Westin, comfortable, with a nice feel of cleanliness. Although not enthusiastic about the room size, I will patronize this hotel again, I understand that it comes with the territory of staying in a 100 years old hotel facility, Very Charming.

Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality truly set them apart. Both Mahmoud and Denise went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They treated us not merely as guests, but as family — demonstrating genuine care, warmth, and respect throughout our entire visit. I truly enjoyed our intimate conversations learning about each other and the hotel. Their positive attitudes and outstanding service reflect great credit upon the hotel, and they are truly valuable members of the team. Because of their kindness and professionalism, our stay was memorable and deeply appreciated. They even blessed me with a good luck for my first half marathon race for tomorrow! I needed that!! The single queen room I was in appeared to be recently refurbished. New fixtures in bathroom, new desk, comfortable bed, personal fridge, and more made the room very comfortable. Check-in and check-out were efficient. Little waiting for elevators. The parking was disappointing. Either a public lot a couple blocks away, or expensive valet that requires one to text ahead fifteen minutes. Room service was insultingly overpriced. A $31 bowl of mediocre pasta ended up being $47 with all of the taxes and fees (most of which were just contrived layers of profiteering).

Had a wonderful stay in San Jose with the wife at the Westin. Staff was courteous and accommodating. I prefer the Marriott across the street due to lounge access and an updated layout compared to the architectural style and historical significance of the Westin but was worth the experience.

Our stay was nothing but a breeze. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The staff was incredible. Shout out to Mohammed for being the best and super helpful. We will def stay here again for future trips.

Just checked in and its a beautiful hotel. The room is nice and has a great view of downtown. Guest services was very helpful and quick check in.

We had a pleasant stay here with comfortable rooms and helpful staff that made our visit enjoyable.
